A beer from Northern Germany, had a few from this region thanks to colleagues bringing them back
And a very good pilsner to boot.

From my 3rd highest German region
Don’t know if I’ve had a schwarz bock before. OK.

And finally for this. I had some beers from here in a Rome beer festival and remember liking them.
Decent helles, very light, but with some character. Decent.
I’m nearly up to date. Still a couple of beers behind.

From Baden wurttemberg my 3rd highest rated German state.
Which was a weird mix of a pils and a heller bock.
Nearly up to date

Another from Bavaria. And the best so far. Good unfiltered fresh tasting low carbonation good character kellerbier. Good stuff.
And now I’m up to date with the 9th.

But feels like a modern beer. Decent weiss bier

A beer from Hamburg which is unusual for my German ratings
Solid pils if a little light on the malt. Lovely bready fresh aroma though. All the beers I’ve had haven’t had a freshness problem. I was worrying that some may have been hanging around for some time.

@harrisoni, my Kalea one (from Cost-Co, in California) has different beers to your’s. All 500ml cans so far. I thought about putting a ‘spoiler alert’ on your posts in this thread, but it’s OK now I realize they are not the same.
Only had five so far, four Bavarian and an Austrian, all new to me.

From North Rhine Westhphalia my 2nd highest rated area, due to the fact that I’ve been there a number of times.
And the first one from there in this box.
For a Dortumnder I thought very good for a style that’s normally a bit bland.
Well we both had the Austrian beer brewed for Kalea.

This was a new brewery to me, yet another Bavarian one though; everyone’s most rated German region.

Another Bavarian only another 61 to get to 1000 Bavarians.
Craft beer.
It’s an ok pale ale that could have been brewed anywhere in the world.

Saxony beer to bring it up level with Berlin as joint 4th German region
Must have been good as it only lasted a few minutes. Sunday aperatif.

A beer from Lower Saxony.
Why is Lower Saxony north of Saxony? Is it lower cos its closer to the sea so downhill? I would have thought Lower Saxony would have been down from either Saxony or Higher Saxony.
Lower Saxony now 9th highest region.
Good amber lager I thought.

An old favourite and well worth a re-rating. Wow beer number 2224 on Ratebeer.
