It seems this should be a saison.

Based on other flavoured lagers Iā€™ve had should this be Flavored - Fruit?

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/canopy-paceline-lime-and-salt-lager/770031/

Whatever it is, not sure why it was added as a ISL. I didnā€™t think it was noticeably hoppy, itā€™s the lime and salt that were the focus.

I know that new styles are not something that is in the pipeline but I seem to have had a few of what could be classed as Lager - Flavored recently.

This is the most ridiculous way for advertising! Who reads a beer description to find an accountant??

It seems these beers are no longer being produced.

Some tidying up after I added my Riverside Fest ratesā€¦

These are flavored:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/crossover-walled-garden/1008641/

This is an Impy IPA (discussed it with the brewer/a brewer -.they barrel aged a Dogfish Head inspired IPA):

This is a collab with Dark Star:

And my cut and paste went awry when I added this one:

Iā€™ve taken care of all these but Iā€™ve left the Cult of Oak / Alpha Delta collab as a barley wine for now as their (Cult of Oakā€™s) own description calls it a barley wine.
I see the label calls it an IPA, and to be honest that may be more correct; though it may well taste like one, Iā€™m not convinced ageing an IPA in a barrel is how you ā€œcreate an intricate barley wineā€.
Canā€™t tell whether they mean that literally or figuratively but the brewery itself added it to Untappd as a barley wine so I guess they were being literal?

Any other admins have an opinion on this?

This beer

Needs to be merged with St Bernardus Wit. As you can see on the official website it is the canned version of the bottle.

Wonder whatā€™s with the ABV difference and a different shelf life.

Maybe the regular wit is bottle conditioned and the canned version isnā€™t? (can conditioned hahah)

On the subject of Belgian beers, can we add a note to Kasteel Rouge stating that itā€™s available at both 7% and 8% ABV (saw both variants side-by-side at a bottle shop today)? The breweryā€™s website ignores the existence of the 7% version for whatever reason.

van_khonzebruk_kastel_ruzh_8_van_honsebrouck_kasteel_rouge_8_zh_b_0_5_l_

If available side by side, Iā€™d go for a new entry. Unless we find out they are changing something and you just caught them mid-step. And then we can always alias or something.

Thanks for the feedback. Done. Could you move the recent rating by mr_h over to the 7% entry? Cheers.

In Belarus we have 6.9% ABV version in stores, but the only difference - the label for the Belarusian market, where there are some legislative problems for imported beer 7+% ABV.

Does anyone know if there are real differences between 7 and 8% or is this also an adaptation of the label for different markets?

No idea but I donā€™t think the 0.5% is enough for a different entry. Iā€™ve tried the beer and it does seem like a pasteurised version of the wit.

If you want to keep a separate entry at least change to St Bernardus Wit (not ā€˜Watouā€™ which is part of the logo and the town theyā€™re based in)

Well, not the Belgian admin or something similar, so for now Iā€™ll skip it, but I figure itā€™s important to find out what the difference may be - and if the process is different to warrant a separate entry by local or RB standards.

Should this be aliased to the original version which appears to be the Chernigivske Premium?

Yeah, that would make sense. It was brewed under licence in Russia for years, yet no one bothered to make a separate entry for that. I donā€™t see why an exception should be made here.

And alsoā€¦ someone please change all the Chernigivske stuff to Chernihivskeā€¦ come on, you know you want to adhere to proper Ukrainian-English transliteration rules

This is an APA:

This is a collab with Elusive. Also itā€™s not a Red IPA, itā€™s a West Coast IPA:

This is also an IPA (or SIPA):
