BEERS: Issues Reporting - Please Post Here for modifications

Further to my previous post about Uzavas brewery in Latvia (which doesn’t seem to have been actioned), another (existing) beer of theirs has appeared with the name and all ingredients etc in English.
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/uzavas-alus-savvalas-dzervene/1043591/ is available in the UK as Wild Cranberry (I can upload a photo of a bottle with this name if required). It needs to be aliased.

Announcement: If you have photos or sites that back your input for correction, please add them to your posts. This will assist admin in their research to correct the errors. Admin here have kept this place going since big brother has stopped working, but know we are all volunteering our time…not paid employees.

There’s precedence for this. Dorking do the same. One of the beers they brew for the Navy (or whatever the deal is) was specified as being a rebadge of an existing beer when the local CAMRA mag interviewed them. Have seen both versions are on sale in local shops.

I’ve been faxing the Latvian admin for days now … he’s still not picking up !

Thats the problem. They don’t have fax in the Baltic states. My uncle has to e-mail documents to my Dad to fax to the US. The US govt depts he has been dealing with will only accept fax and he has been unable to find one in Tallinn.

In these cases please do add the entries with the new names, with the pictures, so aliases can be made more easily. That will facilitate the resolution of such issues.

I have done the aliasing for the Baltic Dark as the brewery refers to it as such as well on their English language page.

Glad you got the fax issue sorted in the end Marko!

Turned out some Brits were sending faxes to the wrong country.

Alright after doing the admin leg work this is what has been done. Sent message to the brewery with which in all transparency they provided this information.

Fixed the photo for Benevolence Lager as it had the photo for Benevolence Pale Ale, my partner in crime @marko aliased it to Pilgrim Somers.

Add the proper photo to Benevolence Pale Ale (which you didn’t submit for correction) and aliased it to Pilgrim Surrey.

That should be it from your laundry list of corrections.

Stuffed up the entry of this one (while trying to put a line break in the description), sorry. It should be a Saison/ Farmhouse - flavored.

[edit] Thanks.

Just let me get this straight. You want me to create dummy entries under the English name with a picture of the product bearing that name ? I’ll see what I can do

Dupe?:

Left Handed Giant / Oso There And Back • RateBeer
LHG Brewpub / Oso There and Back • RateBeer

OK. I’ve now added the Light and Dark with images from the importer’s website.

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/uzavas-alus-light/1072401/

THe importer doesn’t have an image for the Cranberry one, so it’ll take me a little longer to sort out

@LazyPyro any info on this one as you added the Left Hand Giant entry?

Yeah they’re dupes and it’s one from LHG’s main brewery, not the brewpub. I suspect the user searched for “LHG” instead of “Left Handed Giant” and added it there when it was the only result. We could really do with aliasing for breweries. Anyway I’ll sort this one out now.

Uzavas Cranberry beer now added for merging with Savvalas Dzervene
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/uzavas-wild-cranberry/1072890

This appears to be the same as this.

Hi,

This beer should be marked as out of production:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/zeta-palmeres/758947/

They have just released a 2022 version, 6.5% NEIPA brewed with Mosaic and cryo Mosaic:

Cheers,
Alex.

The style of this https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/salopian-labyrinth/162075/ should be Stout rather than IPA - Black, per the brewery themselves on their facebook page back in 2018
