BotM - April'23 - Pastry Stout

Kees / De Dochter van de Korenaar Orange Trempée

A rare non-imperial pastry stout with chocolate and orange, reminds me of Jaffa Cakes. Not bad!

interesting

Another A-F pastry, with coffee, cocoa and vanilla. More coffee and caramel than anything else, not very sweet fortunately, and again quite nice for an A-F

All right you sons of bitches I’m in. Whoopie Pie stout. As you know the Whoopie Pie is a lovely northeastern treat. Origin is a bit murky with both Maine and the Pennsylvania Dutch claiming creation. It is the official state treat of Maine (official dessert is Blueberry Pie obviously) and they have a Whoopie Pie festival up there as well. Anyways not too sweet and does remind of the dish

Not a pastry stout but the Amburana wood spirals give it a gingerbread taste.
