Bug or change in formating?

Hi.
I just noticed my beer ratings are “double spaced” in normal beer view: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/birra-salento-beggia/283105/
but “single spaced” in “my rating view” (accesible from my user page): https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/birra-salento-beggia/283105/92650/
I use “< br >” formating in ratings. I used it to “single space” the ratings, but now all my old ratings are double spaced… Is it a bug or change? If change, how should I do it to be consistent in these both views?

Also, is someone working on the “�” marks problem for “different” characters?
e.g.: https://www.ratebeer.com/user/92650/breweries/

This is extremely overdue for a fix. It looks terrible, especially for people that rate a lot of beers from countries that have different alphabets:

Yes this is nightmare for basically every non-US rater. My Danish, German, Norwegian etc. ratings pages are full of this crap. Such an easy thing to fix too, I mean it’s already partially fixed because if you go one of those affected breweries pages it shows the character just fine e.g. https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/to-ol/12119/
Not sure how joet thinks new people will stick around when half the ratings pages are broken and looking like this. We’ve said time and time again the vast majority of us are here because we like to see our stats and what not. It’s a huge draw for people like us so should be a priority fix.

Apostrophes fucking up searches has been a problem on this website for maybe more than a decade. Your guess is as good as mine as to why it has yet to be fixed.

Please fix the double space issue, this can’t be a feature, can it? I also use html-tags since years and all of my older ratings now look pretty ugly. Either ignore the html-tags, or ignore the (non-html) line breaks, but it doesn’t make sense to recognize both. Thanks!
