As requested by @Theydon_Bois I have updated the English county points leader board. This table is just the top 40.
Points are allocated as follows: Top rater of beers from a county gets 50 points, 2nd 49 points and so on for each person in the top 50. This is repeated for each county, and then totaled. Points are allocated in the order people appear on the top 50 list even if the have rated the same amount of beers as someone else.
Even though I don’t appear in them this is the kind of stats/content I love to see posted here. Great effort with this.
I suspect I still only appear in one top 50 (Gloucestershire) so I’m probably right down the bottom of the pile. Just out of interest how many more users are there after this top 40? Must be hundreds of us surely?
There are 199 different people in all the top 50’s, less than I thought. @LazyPyro You are at 104th you score for Gloucestershire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Tyne & Wear.
Wow only 199? That is far less than I imagined. Hardcore tickers really do rule the activity here it seems. I was thinking around 500 at least which is why I didn’t ask you to post the full table (but thanks for doing it anyway, nice to see this).
The counties I score for are basically the locations of my favourite breweries. Tyne & Wear is a surprise though because that is (almost) solely down to Wylam.
Cheers for the stats, always enjoy perusing such tables.
Can’t believe there are only 199 different users for all 46 Counties, just shows how few of us there are on the site drinking English beer on a regular basis.
Very happy to have reached the dizzy heights of 27th, but sad to see some old friends are dropping downwards because they have ‘lost the love’ of RateBeer.
Had been concentrating on the power trio of Surrey, Hants and Berks so hadn’t realised I’d snuck in to the Top 50 elsewhere. Got a couple more to aim for. Hants Octoberfest on Saturday so various power trio rates on the horizon.
