Was chatting to a guy at my first beer stop last night, we spoke about the breweries in town I asked about the four, he informed me that now only three as Eichhorn had been looking to sell last year and had found a buyer but he never mentioned who. However he did suggest that they wanted to start up brewing again in Würzburg. Just to let you know, my conversation with him was in German and my German is not great so I checked the website and it confirms that they have been taken over by Hertl. I don’t know anymore about the Würzburg link, perhaps I missheard that part.
