England Regions as an Olympic Medal Table

So had a few beers and watched too much olympics and thought what happens if I took the usual England regions leaderboard and put it into an olympics style medal table…

So based on this

I put our placing in a region - 1st (Gold), 2nd (Sliver), 3rd, (Bronze) - into a medal type table…

Well done @imdownthepub who is top of the table. It’s also worth noting the ‘gold medals’ people like @danlo and @beardedavenger have achieved, has sent them right up the table…

I’ve always found it odd the way they set out the olympic medals table.

Feels like they should give 3 points for gold, 2 for silver and 1 for bronze … or 10/5/1 depending on how much kudos they award a gold.

If silver and bronze mean so little … don’t bother listing them … just stick to gold!

I’ve been out of Shropshire for almost two months and @minutemat is closing in on my Gold place, I used to be 50 or so in front, not so now.

You could be right, over a month since Glens last rating. It’ll be very sad if Glen moves on as he was the person who convinced me to join Ratebeer 18 years ago. Don’t go Glen :pensive:

Sorry folks, I am in the process of moving to untapped. Trying to cut down on my on line time and Ratebeer was a massive part of that. I’m enjoying the experience of ticking them in and forgetting about them. I used to get back from caravan trips and having to spend days adding beers and rating them. Also the gradual erosion of usability on this site go to me in the end, particularly regarding places and being able to add them at the time of use.
I really enjoyed my time on Ratebeer but time to move on. thank you all for your friendship and help over the years but I’m sure I will pop back into forums from time to time.
