In addition to a bumper beer package with many new breweries and experimental styles (as per my wishes) i have some of David’s homebrew (and actually to call them ‘homebrew’ unduly cheapens it as they are often more complex, experimental and flavoursome as any commercially available craft brewery), some stickers, beer coasters, and 3 year aged cheese, although unfortunately i cant this but it will be appreciated by my beer share buddies in a week’s time!

Yesterday I received a package from @Hermod, packed with Finnish ipas, imperial stouts and four types of liquorice/salmiakki. I love liquorice, in pretty much all it’s forms, and the rest of the family as well. I had a hard time to keep our daughter away from it until I had taken a photo. And for the first time I think I found liquorice that… I may need to get used to 
Those Leijona salmiakki start of as sweetish liquorice, then menthol kicks in and it has a long phenolic finish that’s both smokey and medicinal, perhaps also a bit like tar. I suppose they are actually Lagavulin BA!
