With the withdrawal of quite some breweries from the Beavertown Extravaganza I expect some alternative releases, tap-takeovers and other beer-parties. So, what’s happing in London on sept 6/7/8 ?
The Bottleshop Bermondsey is tapping Omnipollo beers from Sep 2 - 5th.
On September 6, there is a TTO by Nevel at Brew By Numbers.
Didn’t hear much else yet.
There was talk that Cloudwater would try and open their Bermondsey taproom by Saturday 7th and perhaps host some taps from a few of the brewers that pulled out - The Veil was mentioned.
Heard nothing on that for a few weeks now but watch this space.
If you haven’t been to London this year there’s plenty of new venues to keep you occupied, particularly over in the Hackney area … Verdant’s new taproom, St John brewery (next door to Verdant), Beermerchants Tap - 1 stop away on the train … plus others in and around town.
And the Pembury Tavern by Hackney Downs station is now owned by Five Points and no longer Milton.
