Anyone got any info on the Factory beers from.Ekto?
Am in Ghost Whale in Brixton and have picked up a beer from Factory. I see it’s listed under Ekto. Is this a new brand aimed.at the international market or suchlike?
I’m curious about this too as I also picked up their beers.
I did look into it and see they share brewing premises and webshop. I didn’t find a separate company registered for Factory Brewing, which suggests they are in fact a brand of Etko’s rather than some sort of subsidiary or operating as a client brewer.
I think the way it’s setup now on RB is correct to be fair, but would be nice if some Finns could confirm this is the case as a lot of their beers are sitting unverified still.
They split the breweries on Untappd, presumably as they appear to be managed by their respective head brewers. It’s a bit confusing to have a separate brand though as they seem to both be brewing the same styles of beer. Usually when breweries do this there’s a completely different focus.

Short answer: Factory is Etko’s “Luxus Brand”
Same brewery location, same brewing kits, same owners, same brewmasters…
Their DIPAs are actually quite good.
