FAO an American Admin

I have just purchased two bottles from this brewery: https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/small-town-brewery-pabst/13920/

The problem is that although both beers are listed, they are both claiming 10% ABV.

My bottles do not match that 10%.
“Not Your Mom’s Apple Pie” is 5.5% and “Not your Mom’s Strawberry Rhubarb” is 5.9%.

Do I just rate them with the stronger versions or would you rather me add them as two new beers with their ABV in brackets like the original versions.

To add to the confusion there is also this: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/small-town-pabst-wauconda-not-your-mothers-strawberry-rhubarb-pie/521183/ same ABV as my bottle, but slightly different name.

Thanks in advance.

Not an Admin but…

Someone seems to have screwed up on the site entries - here’s a portion of the 2017 press release:

“Not Your Mom’s Apple Pie (5.9% ABV), Strawberry Rhubarb (5.5% ABV) and Iced Tea (5.2% ABV) are perfect straight from the chilled bottle, or serve Not Your Mom’s Apple Pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent twist on Apple Pie a la Mode. The possibilities are limited only by one’s imagination.”

Yeah, the brewery website has the ABv’s the same as on my bottles, so maybe there never was any 10% versions, just a mistake when they were added to RateBeer.

Someone added a great number of these “beers” on 8/27/2017 and put them in at 10%

Someone got some more correctly (we have double entries I think)

Here’s how all the junk I rated went in:

Small Town Not Your Father’s Mountain Ale
Pabst Brewing Company
2.8

Small Town Not Your Father’s Root Beer (10.7%)
Pabst Brewing Company
3.4

Small Town Not Your Father’s Vanilla Cream Ale
Small Town Brewery (Pabst)

Small Town Not Your Fathers Root Beer (5.9%)
Pabst Brewing Company

Small Town Not Your Mom’s Iced Tea
Pabst Brewing Company

4/21/2017
Small Town Not Your Moms Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

I see 10.7 %abv versions of the Root Beer reviewed on BA so maybe they did/do exist.

Agree on the 10.7% Root Beer - I had it.

I’ve also had everyone I can find (tikking frenzy goes on), and I think if any others were high ABV I’d have found them.

The website doesn’t show any high ABV beers.

They made 10.7% and 19.5% versions of the Root Beer, but AFAIK, all the other Not Your Father’s/Mother’s should be around the 4-6% mark.

Remember when people thought this was really good before they found out it was a macro?

I only bought them because my Illinois total ratings were so low, please don’t chastise me.

I would never judge someone for shitty beer ticks.

No, @blipp is higher than that.

Another little glitch is that Docent Brewery has two identical place listing, no reviews on either.
