However that may have been offset for some of us by Black Hole moving from Staffordshire to Derbyshire, haven’t checked my totals, however I think that I’d almost certainly rated more Black Hole than Neon Raptor. Thanks for amending Black Hole btw, it will be interesting to see if that little industrial estate will now see Black Hole open up a taproom, if so you will have Shiny, Black Hole and then a Derby Brew Co pub adjacent at the front.
I think they put themselves up for sale ages ago. Obviously no takers. Anyone knows what’s happened to their pubs?

The pubs were retained by the Otley family when the brewery was sold in early 2017. Looks like some distinctly dodgy goings-on since then. Including a mystery owner. I’d be interested to know what the deficiency is when all the beans have been counted. It has some of the signs of a classic long-firm fraud.
Yes it does appear that something like asset stripping or the like has gone on here. I had good and bad from Otley but mostly it was a Brewery I was glad to see on the pumps, so a shame that they have gone.
I’d like to suggest an amendment to Chapel Down Winery’s name https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/chapel-down-winery/14398/
Their brewing arm is and always was a separate limited company known as Curious Drinks. I was searching for them just now and had forgotten they were listed under the name of the winery on RB. Perhaps a better name for them is: Curious Drinks (Chapel Down Winery) - that way it will appear in searches for either term.
Curious are also looking to move to a new location at some point.
Yeah the brewery site was paid for through crowdfunding a couple of years ago, it’s being built right next to Ashford train station. It won’t be open until November this year so nothing to update in terms of that yet, obviously at that point they’ll have a new address and will no longer be classed as a client brewer (also they’ll then be known as Curious Brewery).
For now the Curious Drinks name is most accurate, the company has kept the name Curious Drinks Ltd.
I do follow them to some degree as I chipped in a little for their crowdfund back then so I’ll post here whenever they announce anything of note to update.
The place below for Lincolnshire Brewing Company, has closed, the brewery moved to The George Hotel Langwith. This change has been shown for a while on the brewery page, but not closed on the Place Page

Was doing some research for a Manchester trip and noticed that Shindigger details have been updated on the Brewery page but the Place is still down as some old office address. I guess the new location has a tap room, etc, but didn’t spend enough time on the website to notice any details.
Just read on Twitter that Tallboys in Leeds have closed they announced this today.
Update for Ferry Ales Brewery (F.A.B.) they now have an onsite and online shop, so have cloned the brewery to a place, but need to include opening times, which are:
8.00am to 5.00pm 7 days a week (recommended to call John first on 07790 241999)
Vaults Cider and Ale House in Newark has closed, although maybe not permanently as they are looking for another manager…
