FAO UK Admins - Breweries/Places Housekeeping

I can’t remember if we decided anything about how to handle online webshops in the place database, and whether or not they should be under the same entry if it’s run from the same place as the physical shop?

If we’re keeping them under the same entry for now then Purity can be updated.

Their webshop has a different name so I’d suggest renaming to “Purity Shop (Bottle Shack)” so people can find it via search.
website: https://www.bottleshack.uk
face: https://www.facebook.com/puritybrewingco
twit: Purityale
opening times: Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm; Saturday 10am-1pm; Closed Sundays
address is the same.

If not then let me know and I will add this as a new place. There’s a lot of other webshops that don’t have their own entry at the moment.

Please can someone allocate this as a Somerset brewery, slight issue on set up. Thought I’d done it correctly, apparently not! Thanks

Love it when this happens make it easy to find this page.

All England breweries on one list. I’m sure there is an easy way to find the list.

I was on the road or drinking most of last weekend in Belgium, I’ll get to verifying inputs when I quit being lazy!

I recall checking with the brewery on that one, and they changed the recipe - hence the two listings. I think the photo might be mixed up.

Should all these ‘Tower Hill’ locations be updated to be in the City of London? I mean… they’re in the City…

I sometimes think London is broken down too much for places.

If you look on the map Tower Hill is a tiny area.

Can people report beer updates the normal way? I do and they get fixed pretty quickly. This thread is for brewery/places housekeeping. Let’s not clog it up.

TBH I might not as an admin have made a change to it, since we allow for minor changes in ABV due to batching. If it was a complete recipe change then the previous would be retired and then new entry with 2018- be added.

Just added a new brewery Penistone, in South Yorkshire

It’s a BrewPub, so also cloned brewery to a place…

But the place is actually called The White Heart not Penistone.

Thanks

Raw brewery has a different website to the one on the brewery page

https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/raw/11729/

http://www.rawbrew.com

.com rather than .co.uk

The internet for my house will not be set up for another week and it’s near impossible to effectively do admin work on my phone. If no one else get a chance to fix these I will when I’m back fully functional.

Ales by Mail has sadly entered liquidation. It had been rumoured in the past few weeks after all stock disappeared from their website, and was finally confirmed yesterday on Twitter. They’ve said a formal announcement will come later today (I’ll edit this post when I see it).

This means that their online shop can now be set as closed, and presumably very shortly their physical shop too.

Old Vic in Darlington is now permanently closed:

A while back a mate .entionedtgat someone he one owned a brewery. Took ages to find them because they’re confused about what their name is. Angels & Demons or B.A.D. Beer Co depending on what mood they are in.

The thing is their beer labels seem to state either Angels & Demons or McCann’s. Egham have some of their beers on next moth and are referring tonthem as Angels & Demons. This also means some beers on the brewery page don’t follow the same naming conventions as the other beers. Can I suggest that B.A.D. Beer Co is removed from the beer names? Including this makes the beers more difficult to find and also makes the beer names really long.

Certainly the only beer of theirs I’ve had was angels and demons McCain’s hockley soul

The pub has now closed.
