FAO UK Admins - Breweries/Places Housekeeping

This shop had been added as being located in Bromley, Kent. It should be in Greater London: Coney Hall, Bromley.

This place had shut, Triple FFF didn’t bother renewing the lease. Not surprised - it was a right dump so suspect they’d been waiting for a long term lease to end.

Above all done. Doesn’t leave a lot left in Aldershot, don’t think I’ll be visiting on the off chance :grinning:

Mercato Metropolitino now has a Mayfair location. There’s also a German Kraft Brewery bar there. So can this place please be updated to add the E&C location:

I may go to the new location before a gig next week. Just working out where to go for new London brewery ticks.

Caps Off at Bishop Auckland have opened a brewery, which I’ve added as a microbrewery and the place (beerstore) needs to now be associated with the brewer entry:

Haven’t seen anything official but seems to be common knowledge that Great Heck have been liquidated:

Yes … had heard this via Facebook.
I actually added a new Great Heck beer to RB just on Saturday - the last perhaps !?

The Welsh outfit Mad Dog stopped trading on 20 February. Shame, I only had one of their beers but it was quite good.

With Deya’s upcoming expansion they’re going to have 2 different taprooms literally within a stone’s throw with almost identical names/addresses. Should they have separate place entries when the new one opens?

Some context if unfamiliar:

  • Deya is currently in Units 31-34 with the taproom occupying 33-34. (RB place link)
  • They purchased Unit 27 located behind the current units and this is now the home of their new brewery and taproom as it is several times the size of 33-34. This will be open to the public from 27th March.
  • at this time, unit 33-34 will close temporarily for a period of a couple of months or so
  • when it reopens, both venues will be open to the public but serving different purposes. It’s been suggested the old brewery/taproom will be used for small/pilot batches and all their barrel aged / blending stuff. The new taproom will be the source of their main beers (plus many guests, they have 25 taps).

So given that technically they’re two different places with a different focus, is it ok to add the new one when it opens? Or would we rather adapt the existing one to cover both?

If it’s a different focus between the two taprooms then I’d say yes add as separate venues.

Maybe wait a few months and see if this is how it pans out before adding it though.

Hi Chris

Will the new Taproom be open more frequently than the current one? I am only asking as I will be at my brothers for one night early May, however it’s on a Monday? Deya beers and the occasional Friday night jaunts are definitely one of the things that I miss a lot.

Fin

Hey Fin, yes but Wednesday is the only day they’re adding in addition to the current opening times, which unfortunately doesn’t help you in that case. If you’re able to get there during the day you should at least be able to pop in to buy some cans to take away though.
Failing that, Bath Road Beers is open til 8pm on Mondays and I believe they usually keep a good stock of Deya cans. Unfortunately Favourite Beers is closed on Mondays otherwise I would suggest them over Bath Rd.

Chris

Thanks for the reply Chris and the helpful update. Ahh well, never mind, I may try to pop in during the day if I can, failing that I might put in an order online, we aren’t driving over on this occasion so we cannot make it work any other way really. 25 taps, WOW that sounds fantastic. Btw I hope that all is well with you?

See you again soon I hope and hopefully at the new Deya tap, they have done amazingly well.

Regards

Fin

Yeah not bad thanks. Hope Germany is treating you well?
Would be great to see you again just gimme a shout if you’re ever available to grab a few beers at Deya.
Cheers.

And yes 25 taps (sneak peek in the background of this photo)! The new place is looking amazing, they’ve been teasing some pictures on their Instagram recently. I feel like there’s more hype for the place than there is for their beers at the moment.

I guess they can finally be added on here. After 14 years Ram are brewing their first commercially available beer:

These two beer look to be the same.

The first has no rates or description, but a decent image

The second has rates and a description but a poor quality image.

I’m being told that I have yet to rate this place… which is in Shropshire. However that may be because Shropshire has been left out of the address:

The Lamp Tavern is still appearing as a Rock & Roll Brewhouse pub when it’s now run by Stanway Brewery. All the reviews are basically defunct so is best to close it and add a new version so that reviews reflect the current status?

@LazyPyro … We have a cottage rented in the Cotswolds next weekend …. Bourton OTW.

Hoping to persuade the Missus for a quick visit to Deya on the Saturday afternoon after an amble about.

Open as normal next Saturday as far as you know ? No issues with the new taproom or anything that may close it ?

Yep should be open as normal 2-8pm. New taproom opens on the 27th so from that day is when the current one will close for a while.

Bourton on the Water is a beautiful place but always rammed with tourists every time I’ve been, might not be so bad this time of year though.
