Hello, fellow beer lovers! Lately, I have found myself pondering how seriously critical it is for me to support local breweries, as well as the craft beer scene. There is just that “je ne sais quoi” when you get to savor a pint, which was brewed only a few miles away from your location, with local ingredients and almost all the love in the world. That’s the difference from mass-produced beer, where microbreweries often focus on small-batch production-translation to more unique flavors and higher quality.
Not to mention, when you support a brewery, you’re supporting small businesses and your community. Normally, these places are gathering areas where people come together over good times and great beer. In addition, many local breweries have events, including live music and community nights, which make them so much more than a place to go get a drink.
One thing I love about going to a local microbrewery is getting to talk with brewers firsthand. Usually, they are so enthusiastic about what they are doing and love to share their craft with anyone who’s truly interested. If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to visit your local microbrewery-you’d be amazed by the creativity and flavor they bring forth!
