Gale's Prize Old Ale to be born again - this time at Meantime

So, in short, Gale’s Prize Old Ale, after the closure of Gale’s, was moved to Fuller’s for two more years (2007 and 2008), then revived at Dark Star in 2022, only for Asahi to close Dark Star, but the beer has survived yet again, brewed at Meantime now and due to be released November 16th.

A fantastic article by Martyn Cornell goes even deeper into depth:

What does that mean for us? Well, whoever gets it first will need to open a new entry at Meantime.

Good read! I have enjoyed a few Meantime stuffs and imagine they’ll do this brew justice.

I was lucky, way back when, to catch a '05, so, the original, at the now long-defunct Plan B in Copenhagen, years after Gale’s closed (even after Fuller’s stopped brewing it) courtesy of the great @fiulijn - and I’m not sure I got it as much as I would nowadays in some ways, but in a way I have, looking at the review. A pretty unique beer!

I had the 99 vintage in 03 apparently. I didn’t know what I had at the time though some of my descriptors work. Would love another shot at this. :beers:

Good read and nice to see this back (again). Would definitely give it a try if it were sent to the states, which is highly unlikely.
