I can finally log in and post to the Forums! I have a Passe-partout ticket to the Groningen Wild Fest 18-19 Oct and I’ll arrive the day before & leave the day after, so there will be time to explore local places. Anyone else going?
I’ll also pass through Amsterdam multiple times in the coming weeks: 18 September, 15-17 October, 21 October if anyone is around. Cheers!
Hi Gene, nice to have you back in NL! Visiting Borefts as well by any chance?
As to your dates in Amsterdam, would you like to meet up in Alkmaar at The Scrapyard (Moersleutel taproom)? They’ll be closing mid-October, so might be your last chance to visit. It’s 35 mins by train from Amsterdam Central Station and about 5-10 mins walk from Alkmaar Station.
15-17 Oct would be a perfect time for me to meet you at The Scrapyard since I’ll be staying in Koog an der Zaan, not far. If they’re still open. If not, we can meet somewhere else.
I have to be in Porto on 19 Sep so sadly I’ll miss Borefts…
Ah I see I forgot to mention the date. I was thinking of this next Wednesday actually Not sure if I can make the other dates but we’ll see next month.
Be sure to visit Hoop when in Koog aan de Zaan. Nothing shocking but nice place with decent to good own beers and some guests from their sister brewery Hope from Ireland.
@Travlr They open at 16:00 hrs, I can be there between 17-17:30. And I wasn’t planning on making it an all-nighter either, some of us still need to work the next day .
If you’re early, you could visit Alkmaars Koffiehuis (serves as Zeglis taproom, cozy place, open from 12), opposite to that is Alkmaars Bierhuis/Kleine Deugniet (typical classic beer bar, opens at 16:00), or De Binnenkomer (opens at 10), my favourite place to eat and have a good beer in Alkmaar. We could go there after The Scrapyard if you like.
