Here it is. The new updated Decathlon top 50 list.
Huge changes made: Cider/Sake/Peery/Mead scores changed so 100 points equals 5000 ratings instead of 2000. This means higher scores for those who have LESS of these styles.
New to top 50 are WingmanWillis, Grumbo and BlackHaddock. Out of top 50 are Drake (51) Phaleslu (52) and j12601 (65 apr.). Highest climbers are Wingman Willis +43; Grumbo +21; Gunnar +16.
49 raters have +300 points.
I hope to have the 51-100 list by the end of next week.

What is the decathlon, exactly?

10 disciplines: 100 points given for each according to my own “rules”.
Beer ratings, places, trades and events gives 100 points for 5x platinum
Countries, Regions, Countries and Regions visited; and awards gives 100 points for max. count.
Finally 100 points for 5000 ratings of nonbeers styles

Me please. Do I even make it into the top 500?

Last year you were no. 172 with 213.5 points. Sadly the new calculation shows 200.5 points and that gives apr. place nr. 198. You must be a cider rater.

without knowing your scoring system but seeing where others lie I’m guessing i’m 288 (ranking)

you have 112 points and is number 471 of those I have calculated but there are many so far that I dont have in my spreadsheet.

You actually have 182.5 points. Thats because 5 x platinum still isnt achieved by any rater in place, events and trades so far; so 100 points is given for the best rater in the categories. And this gives you a place at apr. 270.
