As we all know, the world doesn’t operate just in Latin alphabet. Chinese & Japanese scripts, Cyrillic, even Arab scripts have millions, billions of users. Those are markets RB struggles to tap into and find regular users - it’s mostly ex-pats who contribute from such countries. RB just doesn’t feature in their searches.
A way to do that would be to make a searchable “name in original alphabet” field, searchable both internally and externally. It would also facilitate verification of those beers, make finding them easier etc etc, and help with/prevent a series of transliteration problems that now occur.
Is there a chance of that ever happening?
