This is an occasional stat from the UK forum, that I thought I might pass on now that Australia has been split into states.

The rater of the most beers from a state gets 50 points, 2nd 49 points and so on for each person in the top 50. This is repeated for each state, and then totalled. Points are allocated in the order people appear on the top 50 list even if the have rated the same amount of beers as someone else (just keeps it simple).
