Timmerman's Oude Gueuze

Is this extremely inconsistent? I’ve had this a handful of times over the past few years and ii feel like i drink a different beer every time. Anyone else? The problem is I’ve had good traditional versions but also some messes

I can agree for 100%. The first batches of this Oude Gueuze that came out in 2008 and 2009 were extremely tart, like vinegar. I still have some of these bottles and they are almost undrinkable. More recent batches, the last years, are very well balanced, not that sour anymore.

Sounds like I’d love the old bottles. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I still dream of the 2 year old lambic I got served hand pumped directly from an old sherry barrel during toer de geuze 2013. It’s almost the best I’ve ever had. If they could just release something like that in bottles…
