A few British names on the top 50 board at the moment, take a look. I even know some of them.

I’ve had a good run up to now but this will probably drop off as I have a big gap in Beer Festivals after Egham and we have a lot of time booked on remoter camp sites. It feels as though the pace has picked up this year with more people rating. Not quite up to the rate of the pre Inbev disaster days but definitely busier since they pulled out.
I too will be off the board soon, trying to lose some weight and drink less beer because of the calories. I also have boozy trips to Whitley Bay, Berlin, Brugge, Southern California and a cruise in December to think about. Only the Shrewsbury Beer Festival planned for this year, although the Brugge Beer Festival is on when we hit the city, so that’s two really I suppose.

I have Shrewsbury pencilled in for later in the year. Hopefully the planets will align and I make it this year.
I am a little bit off the pace, rating steadily but about 80 or so short. Trying to save a bit of money prior to our house move and because I am currently out of work so tending to buy more local beers with just the occasional foray into the exotic options.
I never have been, never will be a top 50 guy. I can’t do it. I put in a good shift with 100+ beers in March but that’s gonna be the outlier.
I think my top 50 raters days are behind me
My goal is to not be in the top 50 raters list. I am optimistic that I will finally be able to do it this year!
I’m rooting for you Leighton
As a special advisor to beer raters … may I recommend not rating anything until Jan 1st 2024.
Happy to help!
I’m hanging on in there, but it won’t last. Cost of living and an increasing trend towards brewers brewing too many beers with a tonne of shit added means I’m increasingly prioritising a nice pint in a nice pub. If that’s sub-£5 in the suburbs of Edinburgh that’s a win.
Thanks to the Brits invading the US, I’ve finally made it on the list. My goal is 1200 a year, which may or may not land me on the list come Dec 31st. I’ve been looking at a couple beer events coming up. Plus a few friends and I are going to Great American Beer Fest in Sept.
Same goal, so I’m guessing it needs to be 1300-1400. Though very eager to have more of those rates be ciders than ipas.
I’m at 1479 already this year. I need to stay in more!
I have a tick backlog of 49 which if I turned into rates today would put me back in the top 50, but I can’t be arsed at the moment. I will do it in slow time and just plod along below the 50th place.

I don’t see you on the list, Dave!
That’s because he doesn’t rate all those beers.
remarkably I seem to have missed out on the top 50 again… But I am confident I’m in the top N, where N is the number of ratebeer accounts…
Some serious totals, 1,300 will not be enough to be on the board come late December.

I am well on track to not make the top 50 this year. The summer will be a little challenging given normal tastings plus the Great British Beer Festival and a trip to the US. But I’m optimistic. At my current rate I will just break 1,000 for the year. Of course I also have the Pigs Ear Beer Festival in December, which will be the last hurdle.
