And we have NO free kick specialist!

How many chances & perfect crosses…? One more goal will give us the confidence to see things through…

Let’s see your time wasting skills now Tunisia !

Have it you slag!!

Good.

Wasn’t vintage but the cheating, time wasting wankers known as Tunisia got what they deserved!

My reward for watching that is a bottle of this: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/fuller-s-vintage-ale-2011/156275/

Pleased we won in the end, but the most disappointing thing about this game was the VAR dickheads not doing their job with all the blatant wrestling. Clear and obvious bias against us surely? None of those incidents could be realistically defended as fairplay.

Makes you wonder why they’re there

I mean they’ve been used loads in the other games so why not England’s game? If you asked me yesterday my thoughts on VAR I would have been praising them to no end. We’ll have to see what it’s like in other games going forward, hopefully they’re not picking and choosing which teams to favour, defeats the whole purpose of the system.

The only two corners we had where they didn’t pull Harry Kane down he scored. No wonder they kept dragging him anyway they could.

I also can’t believe no penalty came our way, VAR or otherwise.

I think it was clear that was a tactical decision made before the game. Hold Kane back at all costs.

Personally i think the VAR officials should be held to account.

Yes, they knew what they were doing and the VAR guys should be ashamed of themselves.

Post-match French noël beer to celebrate

Dangerous precedent to set too… now other teams can plainly see how vital a tactic that was for Tunisia to use against us and how well it worked. Now Panama and even Belgium will probably use that to their own advantage as they now know they can easily get away with rugby tackles during the game.

Had to get up at the 6am to watch it, so no beers for me, though my partner did put some jam on my porridge in the shape of an England flag… Pretty sure I woke the whole house up with the winner, but luckily England left it late enough they should have been getting up for work anyway. Decent performance. Much better than England have managed in the first game of a major tournament that I can remember, and certainly more convincing than several of the top teams so far.
