XVIII was just out of hand.
Smells dark and malty, tho a bit like English Olde Ale. Carbonation seems down a bit, but still ok. Little, if any oxidation. Think the flavor is somewhat muted. But for 10 years old? Unibroue did these well.

But I’m still drinking what I last posted in that thread. Where to go…

I’m just going to stick my fingers down my throat to rid myself of previous thread and start fresh. Thanks
For anyone who may care about the answer to this, here’s North Coast’s reply:
“This way it is all the same on both our kegs, cases and bottles. The first digit is the year, next three numbers are the batch code and the following four is the month and day it was bottled. So your Scrimshaw was bottled on April 18, 2018.”
Makes more sense than the Eku-28 I asked Kulmbacher aboot. Code 2730251 turns out to be canned October 15th 2017. Wow.
Gonna assume that’s a lightish hoppy brew and I feel your pain.
I was skeptical about the Scrimshaw since it was marked down to $7.99, which is suspiciously rare around NC.
