BrewDog boss James Watt was subjected to a vicious online smear campaign which saw him scammed out of £100,000 by his plotting ex, a judge has ruled.

Some of the negative things said about Watt were false. He paid a former girlfriend who was maliciously spreading some allegations in order to get him to pay. This is presented in the Murdoch press in a way that could be interpreted more broadly and is posted here (!) by some person who has just joined the site and has no rates.

BrewDog would normally seek more bang for its publicity buck.

I dunno if I believe this to be honest. I feel like Watt has always kinda been a POS, and some of this is a backtracking effort.

Dude has a rap sheet for a reason, and its not because of a blackmail schmear campaign.
