Carry On Rating!

Hi Guy’s, just thought I’d let you all know I’ve just managed to get 100 rates for Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northern Ireland in the last few days.

Anyone else pushing along with their ‘stats’?

Turned Somerset darkest blue last month - my 7th region to hit the century. Grampian (95), North Yorkshire (90) and Belgium (90) are next in line…

Also notched up my 100th session IPA last weekend.

Just hit my 100th Malaysian beer. It’s taken me almost 15 years to reach this milestone!

Drinking more Red IPAs is the only thing I’ve specifically aimed for this year, I’ve now reached 40 of them in total which seems rather meagre doesn’t it. So few of them about!

I hit 5000 England rates last month which was a big milestone, England accounts for ~57% of my ratings.

Looking at my style counts it looks like I hit these milestones within the last few weeks without noticing:

  • 1000th Hazy DIPA
  • 700th IPA
  • 200th Imperial Stout (so difficult these days when so many contain adjuncts!)

Ahh … the old % of home country

Mines always hovered below 50% … 47.1% at present

My backlog is largely non English stuff so 45% is likely a more accurate total

I hit 1000 bitter ratings recently, which was pleasing, and went through 20,000 overall almost by accident on a beer trip earlier this year to Sheffield.

Top 5 in Northern Territory AUS.

I went from nowhere to top five in a week.

I only had 5 beers.

And another milestone …

I don’t really follow my country stats that closely … I normally focus more on regions

Only one I tend to keep an eye on is progress on the USA for 10K

Just plonked in my 20K England rate

I also had a little recky around the site and reckon I’m just the 7th person to hit 20K rates from a single country!

That % of home country stat used to fly around a lot (back in the day).

Mine is 44.67% for England.
Add Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland for 52.45%
US at 16.18%
Rest of the World 31.37%

No terribly exciting big numbers for me, but slowly ticking away and chipping at the stats.

England: 71.49%
US: 6.5%
Finland: 2.9%

Over 1k for Greater London achieved earlier this year.

100 Welsh rates after summer holiday.

Mamaged two koduõlu in Estonia during the summer which was good.

Otherwise I can’t remember if there were any particular milestones.

I’m in Singapore right now and just went through my 500 Singaporean beers and counting.

I’m sad to say that #500 was an awful Brewerkz beer for which they charged the outrageous price of 18 Pounds for a 330ml glass of herbal sugar water. They claim that it’s wild fermented, then go ahead to list the yeast that they used  A truly dreadful beer from a truly dreadful brewery.

If anyone wants a beer trip to Asia, I’ll be happy to show you around. Even Kuala Lumpur is no longer the beer desert that it once was!
