Just got back from Colombia for the fourth time since becoming a beer nerd. I must say things have come along well this time, starting to see early explosion of the scene. At least 5-7 new craft breweries in Medellin, many of them with good or above average brews, and a bunch more in Bogota (I didn’t go there this time, just had them on tap around). Also a good craft selection in Cartagena in certain bars. Nice to see the scene coming along. Similar right now to Costa Rica in terms of development, but not quite up to Argentina, Brazil or Mexico. Welcome to the beer world!
Also I can now gloat I’m now the padrino of Colombia in terms of most rated beers. The race is on!
