Barleywine’s revival in popular beer culture is indicative of something

Since when is Barleywine being “revived” in popular beer culture? I can’t remember the last time a saw a barleywine on tap at a brewery.
I was thinking the same thing, but speaking mainly for bottles (I rarely visit brewpubs). If anything, barleywines seem to be at an all-time low around here (Colorado). Which suits me fine.
This seems to be Joe filling the main forums with memes instead of actual discussion. Mods, please move this to OTL!

I was certainly surprised that deviation from average was as small as it was.
Conversely i was totally unsurprised by the off line ratings being the most desired update to the app
and quite frankly im getting a little annoyed that the frankly bullying tones im being found aimed at me.
It does seem like a bit more than some good natured ribbing.
