Cider & perry list is up for 2024 Nottingham Beer Fest - 47 new rates for me (out of ~140 on the list) with 6 new cideries. I’ll be there during the day on the Thursday and Friday sat somewhere near the cider bar if anyone’s going along (@Grumbo is going on the Thursday also).

Oh, and the beer list is also up in case there’s any interest in that:

I will be there Wed-Fri, looks to be some good options for the none cider drinker.
Just done a first pass on the Beer list…
There are about 735 beers (when I take out a couple of duplicates), which is still a massive number but well down on the number when the festival was at the castle (1,200-1,400 I think). Not sure how many of these are new beers for me, but it’s far more than I could drink, even with three days.
Some interesting beers as well, with a good range of styles. Liquid Light have a cask beer at a massive 26% abv. Of the 23 beers Bang The Elephant are bringing 19 are new to RB, so lots of adding to do.
45 new breweries for me, including 15 of the 17 American breweries with cask beer offerings. Three of the new UK breweries don’t appear on RB yet Beestonia from Derbyshire, Dead Duck from Hampshire and Spenside from Tyne & Wear, so will double check and add these next week.
I also understand there is a bar dedicated to celebrating woman in beer which sounds like a great addition.
If anyone has been before, it looks like they have taken on the feedback from previous years. While the site is basically the same (and cider is in the same place) the Cask beers are now spread out to different bars across the site (instead of being focused only at the Tent Bridge Inn (TBI) end). There is also a new tent added on the boundary to the cricket pitch. I think this should bring some balance to the site which was heavily weighted to the TBI end of the site.
51 new UK breweries for me and all but 3 of the US ones. Even in thirds that ain’t happening!
I’m there for the trade session Weds then prob stay til last train home
Looks like also about 24 new gluten free beer rates for me as well (including DMC ginger beers but ignoring cask/keg duplicates)
Hi. I will be there Wed-Sat.
Cheers,
Alex.
Doesn’t look like I’ll make this year (again). Work is insane this week and I’m recovering from a nasty bug. 90% over it but still very tired.
Staying in Leicester for the Queens Road Tap Bakers Dozen tap takeover.
Good luck, 7 or 8 Rutland beers will make you King of that shire!! I won’t increase my total as no Rutland Beers at Nottingham.
Only four new to me (one being a collab going under Surrey) so your crown is very safe! It was a good takeover, but I’m sure Nottingham had slightly more to offer!!
Only managed 17 of my new breweries cos I got stuck at the Bang the Elephant/Star Trek Homebrew bar as they kept getting me to try their beers… and did a few of the American ones. Was tempted to go back tomorrow til I saw the ticket price which works out about £20 just to walk through the gate, ouch
Managed to leave a tenner’s worth of posh crisps on train home too, d’oh
Currently at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Lovely day for a festival.
Yes, nice festival weather for Friday, was a sunny day although still abit chilly out of the sun. Managed to get everything on my list (cider/perry & GF beers) with around 80 rates over the 2 days.
