How much do you estimate you spend at the fest with extra tickets and food? Last year was a bit pricey and packed, so I am on the fence this year.
I would hazard a guess that personally I spent probably 90-100 bucks total… which included the initial $65 VIP ticket. So maybe about 30-40 bucks additional on tickets? $10-15 of that was on food. However, I know that @solidfunk was doing some pretty heavy lifting on getting beers for the table so I wouldn’t be shocked if he spent a lot more.
I don’t think there’s any way around how busy it is, though I will say that we seemed to set up shop in a very busy corner of the festival. There were pockets that were pretty wide open, though they weren’t very well protected from the sun. The sun was freaking brutal this past year. I’m hoping that the move to mid-October will help a bit with the heat, even if there’s not a single cloud in the sky all day.
It’s in a new venue, and I honestly can’t say how much seating there will be.

Ya I probably spend an extra $80-$100 plus $65. I’ll be on a stricter budget this year. Sun was better than the rain of the first two years I was there at least.

Who’s in for this one? Anybody seen a beer list yet? I can only see the breweries list, which looks impressive.
I am a strong maybe now. Kiddo will be away at grandparents and wife needs to work that weekend in DC anyway. Will decide for sure in the next 48 hours. VIP sold out, which is fine. Hoping for a beer list to make the final decision.

Looks like they are previewing some of the beers at Partisan, Sovereign CK etc. I wonder if they are the same ones that will be at the festival
