BEERS: Issues Reporting - Please Post Here for modifications

They seem have changed their production methods. Previously had a speil about how no fermentation was involveded or suchlike.

The bottle states that this is a Red Ale / International Amber Ale.

I have to admit I thought it was the opposite, but those people trying to tick 400 countries would be dicked if they couldnā€™t rate the same lager from 5 countries.

This beer
Turnerā€™s ICā€™d Tea ā€¢ RateBeer
and this one
Iron City ICā€™d Tea ā€¢ RateBeer
are the same. Can you please combine descriptions and use the photo

the correct name is
Iron City ICā€™d Tea

thanks!

Personally I think we can safely delete it and move those ratings to the Australian one. No need to alias because it has that same Chinese brewery (Cheerday) set as the contract brewer, so itā€™s already listed on their brewery page and the name is the same. The owner of the brand is Lucky Drink Co who are indeed registered in Australia, hence why itā€™s there on Ratebeer in case anyone was confused by that.

Despite this beer being shit as SHIG pointed out, I did look into this back when I had it in 2016. I learned that itā€™s brewed in a number of different countries despite their website and social media claiming itā€™s brewed and bottled in China. Just look at the latest ratings here, there are a number of people pointing out the American brewery. And in some cases the Chinese one too since people havenā€™t spotted the brewed by info already listed.

Iā€™m more surprised that someone hasnā€™t created a new beer for the American brewed version by Matt Brewing. That would be a good case for aliasing as Iā€™m pretty sure it should be treated as a licensed brew unless there are some major recipe differences.

I rated the one I had in Alabama under the Chinese version for what itā€™s worth here is some photos of the bottle, brewed by Mattā€™s in Utica for Lucky Drink Co with China info.

Thanks @beardedavenger and @LazyPyro owe me some time back on this shit beer!

I see it also got mentioned in this thread:

Anf fear not, it is till available in the Budha bottle in Home Bargains.

Gypsy Kiss is a 7-way collaboration that has been entered as brewed by the The Boys. The can says itā€™s brewed at Killer Sprocket and until I found it I was going to add it under Killer Sprocket but not with their name, just Gypsy Kiss! and then note the 7 collaborators and this description from the can: Seven free roamers of the Melbourne beer scene have come together and combined their spells to create this refreshing magical concoction. Brewed with herbs of El Dorado, Galaxy, Citra and flesh of blood oranges, this American pale ale is hard to resist, like a gypsyā€™s kiss."

This is an amber / red ale

These are duplicates (I added my review to the later entry due to having more information). Indeed, it looks like that happened for the 2022 and 2020 versions as well. I guess it gets to be a different entry each year because itā€™s not always a smoked porter, although it has been for a little while.

This is a duplicate:
