BEERS: Issues Reporting - Please Post Here for modifications

Looks like I added a duplicate, sorry: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/la-sirene-sour-iso-ale/825843/ was earlier added as https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/la-sirene-sour-iso-ale/824315/ It is sour and has got fruit in it, though.

Situation here is this beer has been renamed for very obvious reasons. You’ll notice the only ratings so far are from Norwegians
according to Polly’s, due to contractual obligations they had to send a lot of cases for Vinmonopolet there before they could relabel all the beers. I don’t think it got released in the UK and other markets under this label.

New name: Polly’s Brew No Track Info

fb post announcing the new name: Redirecting...

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brewski-green-bench-keyser-gose/445243/ is at the wrong brewery. Should be at Brewski Sweden, not Brewsy Brewing Co in the US.

Seems like this should probably be aliased rather than renamed.

Good point. I’ll add it later and someone can sort out the aliasing and moving of ratings.

In the meantime here’s an actual rename and description:
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/unbarred-dip-le-donut/819737/
It’s a collab so name should be: UnBarred / Staggeringly Good Dip Le Donut
and description:

I added this beer but couldn’t be bothered to type up the spiel on the bottle. An Admin had looked up the details and obviously concluded that the beer was brewed at Vibrant Forest (they’ve taken the description from the VB webshop). It definitely wasn’t - I happened to visit Elusive’s tap when the Vibrant Forest guys were there brewing it just prior to lockdown.

Just adding some beers I ordered and I pressed enter too quickly on this one

Should be called: Your Coconuts Offend Me

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/mad-yank-a-hoppy-place/826508

I also note that all the beers that were already on there had the brewery missing from the name:

https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/mad-yank-brewery/39294/

And just gone to rate another beer I added about a week ago and I fucked that up as well. This should be called: You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out.

Seeing as Low Alcohol - Dark is now upon us:

Cheers for the changes.

Was the issue with the beer names I added something to do with digits available for beer names being reduced or did I dream that?

I think this should be N/A - Dark too:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/mahou-00-tostada/529708/

@YantarCoast

The problem with Istak and Delster is that I’m not sure that they are meant to be dark - they just sometimes are. I’m seeing the same two looking very, very pale as well on some pictures. I wouldn’t touch them personally.

This is not a beer, it’s someone’s failed attempt to add a place:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/continental-wine-and-food/768202/

Not in production any more:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/camden-town-versus-mohawk-black-ipl/283782/

I would argue that is is not an India Dark Lager (brewer calls it a dunkel with coffee, reviews here don’t really mention hoppiness much):

Thanks for making those changes!

These two should be upgraded to imperial red (is it a “new” style here?):

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/founders-backstage-series-13-redankulous-imperial-red-ipa/354786/

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/oskar-blues-g-knight-imperial-red-ipa/16961/

Also, this beer was boosted to 8% ABV at some point (info from untappd and various Russian beer websites, unfortunately I don’t know when), which would make it an imperial red, too:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/victory-art-brew-red-sails-ipa/339208/

So the question is, do we retire it and make a new entry for the imperial version, or do we change the old version (style + ABV) and make a note about this in the description?

None of these beers should have the style changed. They are al Red IPAs so according to the new style definition Session and Imperial Red IPAs remain as Red IPAs. It’s then confusing that there is an Imperial Red Ale style - but, as per an explanation further up in the thread, there were apparently enough Imperial Red Ales to justify a seperate style but not enough Imperial Red IPAs for them to be split out.

Under the new style definitions thse should be IPA - Reds:

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/the-answer-bloody-malth/719527/414177/

And these should be IPA - Flavored:

These all appear to be Smoked - Other rather than Rauchbiers, i.e they’re not based on the Bamberg original or other traditional German styles:

And these are smoked Brown Ales so again seems tenuous to me?

These beers are missing their full names:

Should be Triptych #1 Progenitor

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/triple-point-le-trou-du-diable-triptych-1/815158/414177/

Then:

#2 Vinator

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/triple-point-le-trou-du-diable-triptych-2/815156/

#3 Collaborator

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/triple-point-le-trou-du-diable-triptych-3/815155/

#3 is a blend of the Pils and Saison so has been added as a Saison - Flavored. However the bottle still states Pilsener.
