I do, I do.
Time to bump this again, lots happened since we last looked at our English County stats.
Iāve made great inroads and now have 25 Counties over 100 with both Oxfordshire and Merseyside both very close.
Oxfordshire | 3.08 | 98 |
---|---|---|
Merseyside | 3.22 | 96 |
Cumbria | 3.16 | 83 |
Cambridgeshire | 3.23 | 81 |
Worcestershire | 3.22 | 78 |
Hampshire | 3.19 | 71 |
West Sussex | 3.28 | 69 |
Leicestershire | 3.11 | 66 |
East Sussex | 3.19 | 63 |
Bedfordshire | 3.11 | 61 |
Hertfordshire | 3.15 | 57 |
Dorset | 3.09 | 50 |
Northamptonshire | 3.05 | 46 |
Durham | 3.28 | 43 |
Surrey | 3.22 | 40 |
Northumberland | 3.11 | 39 |
East Yorkshire | 3.26 | 36 |
Buckinghamshire | 3.19 | 34 |
Essex | 3.03 | 32 |
Rutland | 3.16 | 25 |
Isle Of Wight | 3.46 | 11 |
Grand total required to get 100 in each county is: 890 rates.
To get 50 in each county is 246 which doesnāt sound so bad, but of course Rutland and the Isle of Wight are problematic either way (50 or 100).
On a side note, Iāve only had 3 beers from Oxfordshire since September 2021.

JUNE 23:
7 Months later:
Top: Greater London 707
Bottom: Rutland: 4
5 Counties over 400
11 Counties over 200
21 Counties over 100
The following now need some attention to nudge over 100
Worcestershire | 3.42 | 97 |
---|---|---|
Cambridgeshire | 3.36 | 88 |
Dorset | 3.43 | 84 |
In the 4 and a bit years since I last commented on this thread I have gone from 29 to 38 cleared for 100.
Remaining 8 include most of the usual supsects.
Lancashire | 3.18 | 96 |
---|---|---|
Warwickshire | 3.29 | 78 |
Durham | 3.3 | 72 |
Northumberland | 3.23 | 66 |
Lincolnshire | 3.14 | 61 |
Bedfordshire | 3.09 | 58 |
Isle Of Wight | 3.08 | 34 |
Rutland | 3.28 | 16 |
At the other end of the spectrum I only had G London over 1K rates 4 and a bit years ago.
Now have 4 and another imminent.
Greater London | 3.46 | 4516 |
---|---|---|
Greater Manchester | 3.67 | 1781 |
Gloucestershire | 3.61 | 1048 |
Berkshire | 3.59 | 1046 |
West Yorkshire | 3.51 | 969 |
Almost 4 years since I last posted here too. Back then I had just 4 but Iām now up to 11.
Greater Manchester | 800 |
---|---|
Gloucestershire | 740 |
West Yorkshire | 726 |
Greater London | 431 |
Berkshire | 241 |
Cornwall | 214 |
Tyne & Wear | 170 |
Suffolk | 134 |
Nottinghamshire | 115 |
North Yorkshire | 108 |
Derbyshire | 103 |
Next up will be East Sussex, only need 11 more rates which is an easy get since Iām a big fan of Beak and drinking a decent amount of theirs these days.
After that I think itāll be quite some time for any other county unless I make a concentrated effort on any (I wonāt), because I canāt see any counties currently below 100 that have breweries I regularly drink a lot from. So theyāll all be done in very slow time.
I have had a look at this and the have 11 counties with less than 100 rates, and 505 beers short in total.
Region | Rates |
---|---|
West Sussex | 99 |
Shropshire | 99 |
Warwickshire | 82 |
Oxfordshire | 79 |
Cumbria | 73 |
Surrey | 71 |
Herefordshire | 68 |
Rutland | 66 |
Essex | 64 |
Northumberland | 62 |
Dorset | 57 |
Bedfordshire | 53 |
Worcestershire | 52 |
Buckinghamshire | 43 |
Isle Of Wight | 27 |
Iām close to 100 on a few with 1 needed from West Sussex and Shropshire. Only 2 are below 50, the obvious Isle of Wight is joined by Buckinghamshire.
At the other end of the spectrum are mostly the usual suspect, with the exception of the county where I live, Lincolnshire
Region | Rates |
---|---|
Greater London | 906 |
Nottinghamshire | 890 |
West Yorkshire | 725 |
Lincolnshire | 609 |
Greater Manchester | 609 |
Derbyshire | 586 |
North Yorkshire | 505 |
Iāve never actually looked at this stat before. Iāve rated 100 plus beers from the following English counties:
Greater London -3.5 -770
Greater Manchester -3.58 -291
Berkshire -3.49 -287
West Yorkshire -3.53 -235
Gloucestershire -3.52 -172
Derbyshire -3.5 -162
Hertfordshire -3.35 -143
Cornwall -3.65 -126
Tyne and Wear is only 5 off, thatāll be my 9thā¦
In 2019 had 8 counties above 100, with the 9th waiting on one rate.
Now have 19 counties above 100, next in line being:
Cambridgeshire 3.19 96
Only 2 counties above 100 for me, with a further 5 being above 50
English Counties | Count |
---|---|
West Yorkshire | 135 |
Shropshire | 115 |
Greater London | 79 |
Greater Manchester | 77 |
North Yorkshire | 65 |
Gloucestershire | 54 |
West Midlands | 54 |
At the bottom end of the scale I have plenty below 10 rates!
English Counties | Count |
---|---|
Cumbria | 9 |
Hampshire | 8 |
Norfolk | 8 |
West Sussex | 8 |
East Yorkshire | 7 |
Hertfordshire | 6 |
Bedfordshire | 6 |
Northumberland | 6 |
Surrey | 6 |
Wiltshire | 6 |
Lincolnshire | 5 |
Worcestershire | 4 |
Rutland | 3 |
Leicestershire | 2 |
Dorset | 2 |
Essex | 2 |
Isle Of Wight | 1 |
Buckinghamshire | 1 |
So since June 23 I have gone from 9 to 12:
English Counties (46/46) | Count |
---|---|
Greater London | 948 |
Berkshire | 778 |
Hampshire | 631 |
Surrey | 441 |
Greater Manchester | 187 |
Suffolk | 176 |
Dorset | 158 |
West Sussex | 134 |
West Midlands | 125 |
Gloucestershire | 113 |
West Yorkshire | 111 |
East Sussex | 106 |
Additions: West Midlands (3 or so trips to Brum.for.work + Cotts Convention helped there), West Yorkshire and East Sussex.
Bottom hasnāt changed.
