It’s my local branch beer festival so normally I’d go there, but looking at the list there are only 20 I need and as I will be volunteering on the Saturday to serve behind the bar, I’ll pick up those 20 fairly easily in one go (self service third of a pint).
So yes, I should be at my laptop with some French/Ukranian beers for this one.

I will be visiting a Booth’s Supermarket before the event and hope to pick up some new beers from them. I don’t go very often, but I always find plenty of bottles to come away with, here’s hoping they have a World Cup shelf or something.

Just joined. Soph and I caught the USA vs France friendly last night on a Moroccan channel and, well… im not holding out much hope for my adopted country. Very sloppy performance with little chemistry. Didier looked a bit nervous. Oh well, got plenty of French bottles in for their first match against Australia. And some Guinea beers for Spain vs Portugal on Friday.

Fun fact - “Croatia” has qualified and is playing there with the least fucks given ever. The mob’s influence, the perjuries of Modrić and Lovren (which will hopefully land them in jail) to protect the most prominent criminal in Croatian football has just amplified disgust that criminal and his cronies have been creating towards what a lot of people don’t even consider to be our national team.

Great to see so many people trying/wanting to join in. I will start drinking around 13:00 UK time, as that’s the kick-off time for Egypt v Uruguay on Friday. Off out to a pub for a couple of hours (hopefully) around 16:00 before returning later for the third game of the day at 19:00 (Portugal v Spain).

Yes the Portugal vs Spain game is the one I am targeting. So early on in the campaign I am sure it will be a draw with both teams thinking they will beat the other group members to go through. It’s just lucky I found 2 new Spanish rates to have
