Here’s a new game: name your top three Regions for the seven countries now available. Low scores are allowed, so post your totals. Willy waving allowed too!
Australia and Canada my lowest by far, not surprising as I visit the other four countries regularly (live in England), or at least used too!
I like the new stats, let’s embrace them.
Australia: (6/8)
Victoria 17
South Australia 6
Western Australia 3
Belgium: (11/11)
West Flanders 293
East Flanders 154
Flemish Brabant 120
Canada: (10/13)
Quebec 18
Ontario 8
British Columbia 5
England: (46/46)
Shropshire 474
Greater London 393
West Yorkshire 292
Germany: (16/16)
Bavaria 453
North Rhine-Westphalia 102
Berlin 65
Scotland: (15/15)
Lothian 182
Central Scotland 77
Grampian 71
USA: (47/51)
California 956
Colorado 77
New York 77
There are 160 different regions currently on RateBeer, I am missing 9 of them; so a bit of research or luck might be in order if I am to advance that total towards the full set (plus of course any new ones that are thrown up as more countries are divided).
I trade with @Erzengel on a regular basis.
We got matched a few years ago in a Euro Beer Swap & we’ve traded regularly ever since.
We both like traditional beers.
A great trading match!
I am keen to tick off my missing regions but once I’ve had one beer I am happy. Tend to stick to those English counties I concentrate on. I.e. I was planning to include a few US beers in my last order but then spotted some new West Sussex ticks and I was intending to buy some of the Trilliums when they hit the shores but will probably order a load of Berkshire beers instead.
brokensail is top with over 9,000 and he hasn’t rated a beer since 2010!
I was hoping to get closer to the list, I would be there now if it wasn’t for Covid-19. Had to move our flights twice already, next booked ones are 31st March, 2 month stay is the plan.
Yeah liking the new regional stats. I know its not one of the “new” stats but funny you guys were mentioning California, was pretty surprised to see I have 1058 Californian rates (yet only been there the once many years ago) at least shows their beers travel far
Australia:
Victroria - 11
New South Wales - 9
South Australia - 9
If you’d rather get something actually decent and interesting, wait until the summer months as there’s usually some cases of Collective Arts that make their way over here to quite a few bottleshops both online and offline. BeerMerchants seem to get them in before others.
On rare occasions I’ve seen a few Dieu du Ciel bottles around too.
