Our Silver Spring Taproom & Beer Garden permanently closed at the end of our ten year lease on 10/22/23. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Silver Spring!
We have a new brewery here in Boise, Bertās Brewing. I has been added as both a place and brewere. When editing the place for associated brewer, Bertās does not show up in list of options. Does this have something to do with the apostrophe?
Can this have Ye added to the start of the name? Seems a bit frivolous but without it the name doesnāt sound right. And it is called Ye Olde Cider Bar! Almost added it again as didnāt come up in the search results as itās full name.
Yeah, but I prefer admins to do it. Not so sure itās good for users to have that option. Also if there is a local admin he might have more info about the details and if it should really be closed.
Well an admin has done the fix for you but perhaps a few things to consider ā¦
@joet has given permission for all users to edit places so itās going to happen, admins or not, so surely better an experienced user dives in ASAP and and makes corrections rather than someone less so.
As for local admins ā¦ there really arenāt that many active admins (and I certainly donāt include myself in the particularly active ones) so the chances of anyone knowing more than a user about a place (outside the very big cities) is unlikely in this era.
RB places is a great asset to the site but who in this age would go on their travels without Googling a venue anyway, to ensure it still exists and for opening hours (RB probably running about 25% correct at best right now ā¦ probably why users have been granted edit status to help keep on top of things).
137,357 ā¦ thatās how many unverified beers there are at present on this site.
Thatās something that users canāt help out on so thatās where my limited admin time goes ā¦ allied to the various queries, fixes, merges, alpha clean ups, style sifts etc etc.
I canāt make you or anyone change their outlook, but I would encourage all users to help us to help you, and the site overall by fixing / correcting things that you have the power to do so on.
