205 Regions and counting

Yeah so far I think it was just me doing the Russian regions. I will slowly keep chipping away.

You take your time mate (@mansquito), it must be a nightmare finding where some of the breweries are located; it’s such a vast country, 83 regions for you to play with.

Thank you for doing such a task, I look forward for my 17 Russian beers to be processed, much appreciated.

<*))))))><

You should have all 17 accounted for.

Well thank you, did you just ‘Do Me’ or am I just lucky that my 17 all came up so quickly?

5 Regions too, only 78 more to get from Russia.

Once again thank you.

I figured yours wouldn’t take very long.

What I like about all these new regions is the names of ‘users’ that you didn’t see very often, or not at all. I’ve just been looking at the page that allows you to see who has rated the most regions by country https://www.ratebeer.com/Users/TopStatesRep.asp then click on the drop down menu with ‘All’ on it, it opens up all the various countries that are split.

Great that more people get to see their names on a few Stat lists at last.

Just about to rate my first drink since the 17 new countries were split; expecting to jump about 85 regions to 275. I know they are still being populated, hope to crack 300 once the dust has settled, if not it’ll be a new ‘goal’.

EDIT: 274 regions, not 275, I lost a Swedish one when the mix-up was sorted out!

I’ve only got 222 but many countries I’ve got a lot of rates in haven’t really been touched yet

Looks like Norway is completed. All my 323 ratings are counted for. I got the 12.

So far 52 top 50 regions. Italy, Northern Ireland and Ireland gets me there. Schweiz looks good as well.

Denmark is completed too and all my ratings are counted for, I got the 1 region.

Denmark? Didn’t think that was split yet? Not showing up in my regions anyway?

It’s a new RateBeer forum in-joke – some of the Danish users for some reason are against splitting the country into regions. Hence the “1 region” comment.

The big discussion about it is here:

Looking at your top countries I assume you’re on about Argentina and Mexico? Lack of local or otherwise inactive admins in those regions I suppose. I updated a handful of popular breweries in each the other day just so people would have something. I’ll take another look today and get some more breweries updated.

Don’t worry, I wasn’t complaining. It’ll happen when it happens. Cheers!

I know, but my local (UK/Ireland) stuff is done now so next thing for me is countries that don’t have local admins active. I did about 1/3rd of Mexican breweries today. Will do more tomorrow.

Progress Update:

I’ve finished Mexico, and good news, a full set of states is possible, though there are a few with only 1 or 2 breweries and I’m not entirely sure if they’re actually still active.

New Zealand and Italy have been finished by other admins, NZ unfortunately does have one region without an active brewery. Argentina, Sweden and Russia are all in progress.

I’ll be tackling Chile next.
