Just had this. These kinds of Christmas beers annoy me no end.

Sorry if I’m being pedantic but what exactly is festive about these hops?
I think we have to accept that breweries are commercial and need to take sale opportunities wherever the season offers. But yeh, a hazy pale ale does not say Yule to me.
Not specifically Christmas like from taste/aroma - (well just some citrus rinds maybe) - but being on the day of Shane MacGowan’s passing was fitting to have a beer with “NYC” and “Christmas” in the name…
