Bell’s Brewery sold, joins forces with New Belgium under Lion/Kirin Holdings
Bell’s Brewery founder Larry Bell announced today that the Michigan craft brewery has been sold to Lion, a Kirin Holding subsidiary. Bell will retire at the completion of the sale.
Colorado/North Carolina-based New Belgium sold to Lion two years ago this week.
The sale comes as a shock for many beer fans across the U.S. Bell vows operations will remain in Kalamazoo County and the brewery will remain unchanged.
