On the contrary, RB should still push for Full Reviews, but not by punishing the tickers and Beer Rating counts (with non qualified ratings) but they should instead find a way to give reward for full reviews like a Badge/Award system or View priority…

Fully agree.
This is the bottom line of the argument I am trying to make.
The only reason why I am a bit heated about is the time I have invested to this site throughout the years. Been a member for 15 years. Sad to see the staple of beer information on the internet decline to what it is today, simply because people are clinging to old ideas.

There is no reason for RB not to have both ticks and full reviews side by side, both the app and the site. Absolutely none - that can (and must) be one of its strengths.
However, bad implementation of that will piss people off and right now it’s badly implemented. The app punishes you for trying to write and forces upon you a non-natural flow, which should have been fixed ages ago.

I completely agree Haukur. I’ve been away from RB for nearly two months, and I had come back to check mail and enter several dozen rates that I’ve done on UnTappd. One of my desires is to breach the 11,000 rating ceiling I’ve been looking at for a while!
But I’m sad to see nothing has changed, and in fact things seem to have deteriorated further from this user’s standpoint. It shouldn’t be a hassle to find and rate a beer, but it is. It shouldn’t be a chore to find meaningful information among my own older ratings, but it is. Not only are new beers poorly represented here, but in my province of Alberta alone there are at least 10 new breweries not entered on RB at this point. I cannot be bothered to engage anymore. I actually don’t care about making 11,000 ratings here anymore. I haven’t renewed my premium membership. I continue to slowly move all my old ratings over to UnTappd, and aside from checking in here periodically to see if things have stabilized/improved, I’ve checked out.

We are already good buddies on Untappd. A number of other RBeerians as well. I don’t reckon I’ll enter all of the beers I’ve had here and on BA on Untappd but I might.
I do not know if somone has mentioned this before. It is not a bug it is just an irritating issue.
When I rate a beer and comes to the page where it came from it includes Retired places in that list. (talking abotuthe first suggested list)
I do not see any point in displaying retired places in that list. It is fine to display if you searc for another place, but not in the default suggested list.
Maybe @services or @joet or the overqualified @discobot can look into the where conditions of that query.
