UK & Ireland, What are you drinking now?

Beer number 4991, closing in on the big 5k. Don’t usually drink Chorlton but draught pickings are on the slim side at this bar. It’s Toffee Apple Sour, low ABV, very tart and acidic. I like it.

Beer 4992. North Sputnik. A hazy 5% lovely descent into deliciousness. Strange that I don’t drink their beers very often. They’re amazing as a rule.

Fourpure / Bear Republic Nor Cal for beer 4993. A malty, piney, bitter IPA. Meh… like a less intense Modus Hoperandi. I’ve come to expect less of Fourpure these days and am rarely disappointed.

Beer 4994. Wild Beer Dr Todd. Not being a fan of ginger as a concept, and having read some of the previous reviews, I’m not sure this was a good move. It’s very medicinal full of ginger, vinegar notes and TCP. Something you drink when you have the flu?

Beer 4995. Wild Beer Jambo! And this is everything that Dr Todd isn’t. Thick, sweet, jammy, decadent. Maybe I still have a child’s palate but I love these sorts of beers. Thanks for putting up with my shitty photos as well. I can’t afford a good phone because I drink too much craft beer, but that is an honourable choice.

Now onto something I hope is more enjoyable.

When my cousin came over from Finland I said there was nothing I particularly wanted. Then I spotted that the band Hexvessel had colabbed on a beer.

IOW tick, but otherwise a pointless beverage…

Pukki scoring 2 goals (again)? That calls for a Tupla Pukki! https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/olvi-tuplapukki/11867/

Beer 4999… Amundsen Turn Up the Volume 2. Not my thing normally but I can dig it. Sourish, fruity, creamy. These beers taste a bit like a 2-year-old threw up in my face after eating too many Opal Fruits and I didnt close my mouth quick enough. However this works very well and I find myself quite enamoured. Weirdly I drank beer 4000 at the Freemasons in MH, and here I am perilously close to 5000 but not having been in the interim.

Beer 5000… A bit of a modern classic, although I was underwhelmed, that was certainly due to the hype rather than the beer’s inherent quality.
Maybe my tastebuds are dead from the 9.5% IPA, maybe I’m just like my mother (she’s never satisfied with anything below 7%). Deya Steady Rolling Man. I’ve had a very small amount of their beers - was supposed to hit their taproom last year on holiday but the snow diverted our train through Reading instead (allowing me to get a couple Berkshire ticks, so swings and roundabouts).
