I also was unable to add a place today. This was to be a place associated with a brewer already in the database, Dees Brothers Brewery:
It told me I needed to verify my email. But I’m pretty sure I did that 22 years ago!
Logging out and back in usually solves it.
I find it works when I log out, log in, log out and then log in again.
Sometimes you also have to do the hokey cokey and turn around…

I tried adding places in January and wasn’t allowed, at which point I just thought fuck it, I can’t be bothered anymore

And yeah, sometimes these things happen. even if you verify something ages ago - especially so. Refreshing, logging in again or at worst cleaning cache and cookies with all RB tabs closed tends to help if it doesn’t work at first.
