Homer Stat Twat

I would so love to see that (as long as it’s a proper one, not something stupid like an imperial DDH mild aged on mongoose livers or anything).

Last time I obviously couldn’t be bothered to look at more than England. At the time it was 66.7% of 1326 beers.

That stat had remained relatively similar of my revised total of 4170:

England @ 2821 = 67.65%

US @ 275 = 6.59%

Germany @ 169 = 4.05% (6 or so more in the stash)

Scotland @ 132 = 3.17%

Belgium @ 114 = 2.73% (maybe 1 more in stash)

Finland @ 109 = 2.61% (8 or so in stash)

Netherlands @ 88 = 2.11% (2-3 in stash)

Wales @ 45 = 1.09%

My England percentage has dropped slightly.

9909 rates, with 7321 from England, which is 74%. Last time it was 77%.

Next up is Scotland and it’s a big drop of with 576 rates which is slightly under 6%.

56% (+6% from 3 years ago) Canadian living in Canada (and 33% from the province of Ontario). I’m surprised it’s that low to be honest! Another 24% (-3%) for the US so 80% (+3%) North America. 5% England (No change for England. UK, down 0.5% to 7%,which is interesting since I actally travelled to London and Wales in March 2018.)

Those are my top three countries followed by Belgium and New Zealand.

Makes sense since I haven’t left Ontario for over a year, and haven’t left Canada since that UK Trip. I haven’t been to US since 2016 (My 2020 Hawaii trip was cancelled. )

Oh wow! I just checked - I only had five new ratings in 2020 that weren’t Canadian, and I think one of those was actually brewed here on contract!

The mongoose liver is an under-appreciated ageing agent, so I hear. :face_with_monocle:

England accounts for 11079 / 21596 rates = 51.3%

Above was from Feb 2018 so almost 3 years ago.
Mine has risen slightly. 2788/5257 rates = 53%
and if including Scotland and Wales it would be 61.2%

I foresee this rising dramatically now that Brexit has happened, and COVID not helping things either.

74.8% of my rates are from my home nation of England. Adding in the other three UK nations (Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland) would take this up to 85.9%. Which I must admit is quite homer-y!

Apart from England, other countries accounting for more than 1% of my rates are:
Scotland 7.1%
USA 4%
Wales 3.5%
Belgium 2.2%
Germany 1.3%

Oddly lockdown has probably reduced my UK rates, as I’m getting a higher proportion of overseas beers in delivery boxes than I would normally find at UK pubs.

Missed this thread the first time.

In Denmark (originally from England) so no surprise Denmark home count is now highest, but the surprise is USA having overtaken England. We get lots of English beers here (plus I go back allot prior to covid) but over the last 3 or 4 years allot more US beers here in DK both shop retail and lots more TTO’s etc which I can only think accounts for it (along with heavy US presence at our festivals)

Denmark = 26.3%
USA = 19.9%
England = 17.7%
Sweden = 6.3%

I live in England. 4420 rates for me. Breakdown as follows:

  1. England 2584 (58.46%)
  2. United States 541 (12.24%)
  3. Scotland 353 (7.99%)
  4. Belgium 202 (4.57%)
  5. Germany 107 (2.42%)
  6. Netherlands 99 (2.24%)
  7. Wales 79 (1.79%)
  8. Denmark 57 (1.29%)
  9. Italy 49 (1.11%)
  10. Sweden 49 (1.11%)

Quite happy with that. It appears to confirm that not all my rates were cask beers in Spoons pubs, although a fair percentage were.

My homer percentage has gone up since last I checked.

4116 out of 11457, 35.9% now. 2694 out of 8348, 32.3% last time.

Travels and festivals have gone down dramatically the past year so that would explain the rise in Swedish beers compared to foreign ones.

The top ten is:

Country %
Sweden 35.9%
United States 17.3%
England 7.5%
Denmark 6.5%
Belgium 5.5%
Germany 5.3%
Japan 2.3%
Netherlands 2.2%
Scotland 2.0%
Italy 1.5%

This has changed quite a bit. I still live in the Netherlands and Belgium is now my #2 country, but the percentages differ by a wide margin now:

Netherlands: 1026 / 5961 = 17.2%
Belgium: 628 / 5961 = 10.5%

It sure would be nice to get those below 10% each.
