OG Brewer Dies in Fire

It is a bit dated news but Ray McNeill of McNeill’s Brewing, which opened up in 1990.

Really sad news as he died in a fire at the brewery (he lived above the brewpub). His beers were sought after when I got into craft beer in the early/mid aughts.

It was always on my to-visit list if I ever got up to Vermont. Unfortunately, that will not happen.

Wow. That’s sad. I think I may have a bottle or two of Mcneills in the cellar. Probably about primo by now. :eyes:

That’s sad story, pioneer in the game before most knew their was more than Bud, Miller, Coors!

It’s an antique collectors item more than beer now.

Sad news. I have fond memories of their beers (affordable singles in the time six-packs reigned supreme).
