It’s been like this on my phone for ages.

When I visit someone’s RB profile (not their Discourse-profile) via the forums, I’m shown as logged out. I’m not logged out on any other page, like the search or the main page. If I then visit the main page manually and navigate to someone else’s profile from there, I’m logged in.

It seems like this has been taken care of. At least it works for me. Thanks @services @joet!

Okay, no, it’s back.

Ya gotta get them in whilst the old site is showing.

And I can no longer log in at all from my home machine.

Remove cookies and start again?

The problems started when I removed cookies and started again for other reasons :frowning:

Try different browser? Maybe FireFox? I have gotten little pop-ups saying “we use cookies”, so gotta get a cookie in the mix.

had the same problem.

Do you have an alternative browser to try? It worked for me when I logged in on another browser and copied the session cookie over to my regular browser.

Not that we should assume any user to be able to do that.

I just tried to log into the main site using plain firefox,
and it not only failed, but it also logged me out of the forum.
And I can now no longer log back into the forum, so am using
email to respond - no idea if that will work.

Historically (as of 2 months ago), firefox could only reliably
show me the forum, and palemoon could only show me the main site.
I’ve now lost access to both from home. (And I work from home.)
My phone would only ever give me access to the main site - I’m
afraid to touch it now, in case it gets logged out!

Anyone who programs perl - get in touch, I’m sure you can
guess why…

not sure if you can see this, but yes, replying via email works.

quoting in the hopes that it triggers email notification.

Thanks! I did some deep sniffing and it looks like the domains that the cookies belonged to seem to have changed ever so slightly (was www.ratebeer.com, now ratebeer.com) and my cookie filters were not prepared for that. So I’m alive again on the forum in firefox. (And this issue is 99.9% firefox’s, they removed a feature last year that let me manage cookie filters easily, now I have to get my hands really dirty in order to diagnose such issues.)

@services

Pretty awesome looking formatting here, too. I’m only using the 2nd most popular browser in the world, Safari.
