FAO UK Admins - Breweries/Places Housekeeping

This now defunct brewer doesn’t seem to have been allocated to a county - should be Herefordshire:

How do. I added this brewer the other week and it’s now showing they are out of business. Well it appears they are very much in business and have just posted on their social media that they just finished racking a brand new beer.

Could someone please amend accordingly.

Cheers.

Re-opened, I feel like someone must have googled it wrong as I see it just started thus year from my investigations. I’ve added twitter page as it seems most their info is released there. Cheers, Shawn

Edit: Looks like someone mistook them for Brew Social | Facebook an internet company which is the logo currently on the brewery page. :joy:

Thanks @SHIG

Only a small thing but this beer

Should have an & rather than a and.

This brewery was moved to Cold Black Label in 2019, but they are now brewing a lot of the old beers, and a lot of ratings are going onto the old beers instead of onto what should probably be new entries. It should probably be cleaned up so that it is obvious to people where to put their rates. I would suggest putting dates in the names of the retired ones and making new entries under Cold Black Label, but I will leave it up to the experts.

These ones have rates in the wrong place

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-red-beacons/164373/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-gold-beacons/154879/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-orange-beacons/223246/

while these are listed as things being made at Cold Black Label but no rates need to be moved

https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-beacons-brewhouse-choc-y-wocky/276179/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-daffodil/253856/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-blonde-beacons/425394/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-three-beacons/216642/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-bamboo/581107/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-copper-beacons/295315/
https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/brecon-mind-bleach/613043/

The last of these has been added under Cold Black Label but not mentioning Brecon in the name.

Looks like Hoskins Bros beers (from the Ale Wagon) are no longer brewed at Tower in Staffs but at Anstey Ales just outside Leicester. Was even confronted with a ‘Hoskins & Anstey Ales’ beer today. Will do more research & see what i can find

The National Brewery Centre is going to be closed. Coors to turn it into a HQ.

Got until 30/10 to convince the Mrs that a weekend in Burton is a good thing.

Seem to remember someone once saying it was worth a visit, so I shall be doing the same with my Mrs - but she’ll just tell me to go by myself :grinning:

I just saw this. A real shame. A bit of an odd place but an important part of Burton brewing history.

Obviously not making enough money for Coors to keep it open: shame really, as their global sales could easily have helped to keep a bit of British brewing history going.

<*))))))><

Just checking out some of the New Breweries that are going to be at the Nottingham BF this year.

https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/treehouse-brewery/49664/

This brewery is going to have beers on the Nano bar, but we have it listed as a Commercial Brewery rather than a Microbrewery Brewery.

Also Black Box are a Microbrewery

Beet Nouveau calling it a day too now.

I recently added the Jura Brewery https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/jura-brewery/50141/
I put it as a “microbrewery” even though it isn’t currently brewing, as it has brewed in the passed and intends to do so again. I hope I have added it correctly. Established in 2017 incidentally.
There only beer https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/jura-laughing-stag/1052619/ is said on the bottles to be “contract brewed by West Highland Breweries”. There is no such brewery listed on RateBeer, but the address given is that of Glen Spean brewery. https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/glen-spean-brewing-co/36337/ Again, I hope I have added this correctly.

Incidentally, I have a spare bottle of Laughing Stag, which I’m willing to bring to any local RB mini-meet.

Elusive Brewing.
We have 2 entries for Mystery Fox.
I will not add my rate till they are merged.

We appear to have a bit of a mix up on Pumphouse Brewing (East Yorkshire) and PumpHouse Community Brewery (Essex)

These two beers should be for the one in Essex

While I’m at it the website on the Langdale Brewing Company page just links to the Untappd brewery page, so probably shouldn’t be included.

The Titsey Brewing Co page also has the wrong website linked:

The brewery website is:

And they have a Facebook page
